ABOUT

Founder, Eve Balembois, was interested in creating a cool tool that would encourage responsible habits for her children and the world. Products that would work against throw-away consumerism.

Learning from exemplary companies with ecological and earth-conscious business philosophies, she focused on a simple solution that would encourage consumers to act responsibly and make better earth, and wallet conscious, decisions.

She soon learned all recycling programs reject bottles that still have even the slightest bit of product left in them.

However, when it comes to bottles of thick liquids, without Waste Not Nut, it is an exceedingly time consuming, stress inducing exercise in futility to get all product from bottles before recycling. So many of us end up stockpiling huge bottles that contain just a few ounces we can’t get at, and can’t bring ourselves to throw away.

Eve created Waste Not Nut as the “missing link” in the bottle recycling process, the link that makes it easy to recycle entirely empty bottles without wasting or diluting precious product.

WASTE NOT NUT IS COMPRISED OF THE
FOLLOWING MATERIALS:

1) 100% recyclable TPE under the recycling code #7, recycled into: Plastic lumber, custom-made products, and comprised of at least 20% recycled and/or 20% regrind TPE.

2) 100% recyclable and reusable, dishwasher-safe, FDA approved polyethylene.

Although perfectly recyclable, Waste Not Nut is created to be lasting and resilient. Container-stands (jars) are FDA approved, dishwasher safe, and reusable for many years.

Waste Not Nut encourages good recycling habits, making the choice to be consistently green easy and rewarding.

HERE ARE SOME OF THE REASONS WHY WASTE NOT NUT IS A NECESSARY TOOL FOR EVERY HOME AND BUSINESS:

ECONOMICAL - Saves money

RESPONSIBLE - Reduces product waste, reduces bottles in landfills

ECOLOGICAL - Improves participation in recycling programs with absolutely clean and empty bottles.

Encourages reuse with reusable, as opposed to throw away, travel and storage containers.

ERGONOMIC - Reduces time, strain, stress, effort in the constant struggle to extract the last precious ounces of conditioners, shampoos, lotions, serums developers, condiments, syrups, honey, etc.

SMART – Space-saver, with old bottles gone quickly clears storage and counter space

PORTABLE - Facilitates TRAVEL by draining thick product into compact, stackable, storable and easily accessible

TSA approved reusable jars.

Meet Our Inventor - ‘Eve Balembois’

Eve’s strong creative streak and passion for design led her to spend a year of college studying in Paris. In Europe she discovered common household products were often not only practical, but creatively designed. Even dish sponges had shapes and colors that dazzled. She loved the idea of creating aesthetically beautiful practical tools in the U.S.

When she returned to the States, she put her creative fervency on hold cultivating her relationship with the Frenchman she brought back in her luggage. Eager to build a family together, Eve focused on earning a living, which meant finishing her studies and getting a steady job. After graduating, she began working as a legal assistant while earning her certification from UCLA’s Attorney Assistant Training Program. She followed a career path as a paralegal specializing in Entertainment and Intellectual Property.

After, while raising two boys, it was her 8 year-old who would often asked why she didn't become an inventor. His insistence helped reconnect Eve with her creativity and passion for design. Eve was so touched and influenced by her son’s gentle encouragement, she began a journey to create her first project: WASTE NOT NUT which came out of a sheer need to save money, space and make her family finally recycle completely empty bottles. After years of experimentation, design and testing, Eve’s brilliant invention WASTE NOT NUT is not only insanely practical, but good looking and fun to use.
